You may have seen advertisements touting a revolutionary new acne product or the latest miracle acne cure but the simple fact is that there is never a single acne product that can make acne disappear overnight. Instead, what most acne treatment products do is it dry up the acne. However, in some cases, the acne gets irritated, reddened and ruptured, which leads to unnatural healing, which then leads to two or more pimple breakout on its side. The acne breakouts are due to the irritation that the acne product caused the acne that we tried to eliminate. This way, acne products might actually triggers to many more pimple outbreaks in the long run.

Many dermatologists actually recommend avoiding acne products in general. Here’s why; As the acne product is absorbed by the skin, the antibacterial or anti-inflammatory, or any other ingredient it has is propagated throughout the skin’s blood circulation, and will spread all over the face. As the active ingredient goes through each vessel on the face, treatment can be possible. Whether bacteria are killed, inflammation subsides, or oil production is regulated. There then comes a point where medication has to be stopped, as most acne products are suggested to be used not longer than 3 months continuously, like benzoyl peroxide acne products, a dilution of the acne fighting ingredient results.

When this happens, a rebound effect occurs and as the suppressed acne bacteria resurface, larger acne breakouts occur. Thus, finding consistent and long-term relief of acne requires finding a balanced treatment. Surprisingly, plain water and nothing more is found to be effective for cleaning the face. It is believed that water in itself clears the skin from dirt and oil enough for acne free skin. Warm water, when splashed on face opens skin pores. Then, cold water is used to constrict the opened pores. This process is done twice daily, with no other acne product used with water. There have been many people that have claimed to be very successful in using only water as an acne remedy.

Some may not be comfortable with the natural acne health plans method, as they feel that water may never be enough. If you want to use a product, look for water-based products instead of the common cream or oil-based. Also, opt for those that do not make wild claims like Exposed Acne Treatment and other name brand products that promise high and deliver short. Avoid acne cream with labels that say “for acne prone skin” as these products are typically harsh on the skin. Also, avoid acne products that contain anti bacterial properties. Choose natural acne products that clean and moisturize face with its natural properties.

There are many topical acne products offered today – from acne creams to acne soap and acne lotion. Some companies advertise their acne product as sure way to fight against pimples. Some even make use celebrities and models to endorse their product and capture the market’s buying interest. If you have ever used an acne product, you have certainly noticed how the pimples do not magically or miraculously disappear. Do not go for quick solutions. Instead, look for acne products that may gradually improve acne condition, yet provides acne treatment that can be for a very long time, if not, totally frees your face of acne.
