The lemonade diet, also called The Master Cleanse, is part of a three day detox that is designed to cleanse the body. People commonly report increased energy, improved clear skin, increased concentration, regular bowel movements, increased clarity and improved digestion after doing a lemonade diet detox.
Detox advocates generally recommend that you undergo a lemonade cleanse diet once or twice annually to prevent disease improve health. It is not recommended that you do a lemonade diet detox more than two or three times each year. However, an alternative practitioners might recommend more frequent detoxing or might recommend longer time spent in a detox cleanse.
Let’s get started! You will be drinking 8 to 16 ounces of either water or juice alternating every hour. This is just a guide. If you get up at 6 am and your normal breakfast time is 7 am, then adjust your times. The trick is not to let yourself get hungry. By drinking every hour you stay full.

Many people consider the lemonade diet the fastest weight loss diet ever and it is true that you can achieve significant weight loss by doing the lemonade diet detox. That said, it is important to use caution when losing too much weight too fast. Fast weight loss is not always the most healthful way to lose weight. Weight loss health plans will always consider slow and consistent weight loss better than rapid weight loss.
Recipes for the lemonade cleansing diet: The recipe is the same for both juicing and blending. The ingredient quantities are different. If you are blending you, will not need as much produce. I am not sure how much you will need if you are juicing since all juicers are different. You will have to play with it and adjust your shopping list.
Green drink
80 percent of your drink should be cucumber and celery. The other 20 percent of the drink should include spinach and/or kale, lemon juice, parsley (small quantities of parsley). If this is too GREEN for you, add an apple. I always add an apple.
I use a quart jar that has measurements on the side. A quart jar is 32 ounces. I prefer 20 ounces of cucumber and 12 ounces of celery. You may prefer 16 ounces of each or more celery. This is when you listen to your body.
If you are juicing, you should drink it right away as the juice will begin to oxidize. By blending your ingredients you can refrigerate your drinks. I would only make what you will drink in one day. Fresh is always better. Use organic produce and wash all produce before using. If you are not using organic apples, peel before use.
For more detoxification you can add a pinch or two of cayenne pepper to your water in the morning!
Almond Milk
Soak your almonds overnight
1 cup of raw almonds – soaked overnight and rinsed
3 to 4 cups of water
4 to 6 pitted dates soaked for 15-30 minutes
1 tsp vanilla paste or extract
Pinch of celtic or himalyan sea salt
1. Blend almonds and water in a high speed blender
2. Pour into a nut milk bag over a bowl or pitcher. Squeeze out the milk.
3. Save pulp for other recipes (cookies, crackers, etc.)
4. rinse out blender
5. Return milk to blender
6. Add 1 tsp vanilla paste or extract
7. Add 4 to 6 dates (depending on the sweetness you like)
8. Add salt
9. Blend until smooth and creamy
